Playing: Natural Rhapsody, by Jonathan Wilson
Why are you still so afraid of yourself?
Those things you’re running from, those things you keep so hidden in pockets so small within you, all those things are still within you, a part of you–you cannot run & hide forever. These things are now right behind you: dare to turn your head around and see?
This place, this universe, this bigger “something” is bringing it all to surface more than ever. Do you feel it? I know you do. Who are you fooling saying otherwise?
The thing to remember is that you’re not alone. Matter of fact, I feel we are more connected with this shared experience than ever–and there now exists a safe space, a place to land on when you fall, existing bigger than ever to finally allow one to step up in confidence and share their experience, work through this experience, and embody this experience with another. What you’re now feeling, my friend, I feel it too, they’re feeling it too. Mother Earth is awake, and it’s time for us to do the same.
To know thyself–what does that mean to you?
If you were to look in the mirror right now, who do you see? How do you feel? Can you lock eyes or do you look away? Do you feel comfort, acceptance, and love, or the unease, confusion, and unfamiliarity of not knowing who you're glancing at right in front of you?
To know thyself is to love thyself, with a calmly-beating heart fully open. To see your reflection is to embrace it, to be able to lock eyes with it and smile. To walk into a room is to allow for the internal experience to present, rather than seeking for the exterior to define it instead. To know thyself is to be sure of your next step, to not shy from your higher spoken truth, to live in alignment with your agenda, and to be right where you know you’re supposed to be. Each step is taken with such confidence. Each action is taken with grace and sureness. You share your energy with those worth having it, for you understand the value of your own energy. You understand you’re not so much this physical form, but existing beyond it. You accept your bigger purpose and meaning in being here. You understand your need to connect, love, and be loved.
We learn to undergo the changes. We learn to face and embrace those things once worth running from. We let go all that is no longer us and allow ourselves to align with what is. We forgive those with love. We embrace the pain with acceptance and understanding. We shift from outwardly to within for life’s truth and answers, and let life present through these healed eyes. We find peace and solitude with being with ourself. And with it all, with complete ease and due timing, we begin to live in absolute coherence of who we truly are. In fact, when you step back to see it all from the outside in, we’ve truly always been living in absolute coherence of who we truly are. We are just learning again how it feels to be back home. Mother Earth is present, asking you to wake up those eyes again once more to see.
This is what it means to know thyself.
