There's a lake I favor visiting often
Where the surface is calm,
And no ripples exist.
A lake that is as big or as small
As I allow it to be,
Where the surrounding is lush
And green,
Fresh & brand new always.
Where the air carries life.
Where the breeze is light enough
To not cause any ripples
Upon the surface;
A comforting hug upon my arrival.
I visit here often,
Because it's a place where I feel at home.
I stare down at the water
To let it reflect my trueness.
If a ripple exists
I take a breath and let it diminish.
The surface is why I come here;
It's natural state is tranquility–
Thus, Tranquility Lake.
I sometimes forget
My way back to this lake.
They all seem to look very similar sometimes.
A body of water,
With nature's perimeter.
I jump in
To feel its embrace.
If I sway,
I get out and leave.
All is tranquil
At Tranquility Lake, remember.
My body will be
As the surface is known to be.
I jump in
To feel the embrace.
If no ripples exist,
After I have jumped in
I then know
I have found my way back home
To Tranquility Lake.
The still lake of my body & mind.
My soul awakens a little bit more
Every visit I make.
